Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a Technical Consultant in Boulder, Colorado to deliver advanced IT support, technology consulting, and strategic guidance for Managed Services clients across diverse technology environments. This role is based in Boulder, CO and requires regular travel to local client locations.

You will diagnose complex issues, guide technology strategy, own escalations, and collaborate across teams to create a seamless client experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator, IT Manager, Systems Engineer, or equivalent technical role.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced technical issues across software, infrastructure, and servers.
• Experience supporting Microsoft platforms (M365, Active Directory, Windows) and cloud environments.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security best practices.
• Proven ability to communicate complex tech concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or leading other engineers in a client service setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive IT support from routine to advanced technical issues.
• Build trust-based client relationships by understanding their environments and needs.
• Consult on technology strategy and align solutions with business goals.
• Serve as escalation point and own complex problems through resolution.
• Manage tickets and client documentation per internal standards.
• Meet SLAs and ensure issues are fully resolved for end users.
• Travel to local client locations on a daily or weekly basis.
• Mentor and support engineers, and provide technical leadership to the team.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
