Quona Capital is seeking a hands-on Technical Consultant to join our busy technical team in the USA. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering‑focused role.
  • Degree (minimum 4 years) in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Strong commercial awareness in a fast‑moving scaling business.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Hands‑on problem solving and practical technical ability.
  • Experience working directly with clients in a technical capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Testing and validating products to ensure quality and performance.
  • Investigating and resolving client issues with confidence and clarity.
  • Supporting planning, design, and acquisition of new hardware and software.
  • Collaborating with hardware team to define cutting-edge IoT devices.
  • Architecting and optimizing IP routing with the network team.
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise software, onsite and remotely.
  • Designing bespoke technical solutions for unique client requirements.
  • Root-causing complex technical challenges.
  • Serving as final escalation point for service desk.
  • Delivering client training on installation and ongoing support of software products.
  • Ensuring each client project is a technical and commercial success.
  • Running technical workshops and solution‑architecture sessions.
  • Becoming a go‑to expert for our products and technologies.
  • Staying ahead of emerging hardware, software, and network tech and recommending improvements.

Job description

We’re looking for a driven and committed Technical Consultant to join our busy technical team in the USA and play a key role in shaping the next generation of our technology. This is a hands on engineering role where your expertise will be challenged, expanded, and valued every day.

Acting as a trusted technical authority, you’ll solve complex problems, design innovative solutions, and support customers, colleagues, and partners. You’ll become a subject‑matter expert on our products and services, creating technical documentation, delivering training, and providing technical consultancy services to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also apply your deep knowledge of mobile operator systems, cellular modems, SIM technologies, and certification processes to help define and improve the Company’s technical roadmap. Your insight will shape new processes, influence product direction, and directly contribute to the Company’s success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

What You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering‑focused role.

  • Cellular communications experience.
  • Knowledge of IoT devices or embedded technologies.
  • Experience with certification processes, especially Verizon.

The successful candidate must be based in North Carolina or within a reasonable commuting distance.
