Verizon is seeking a hands-on Network Technician to optimize and troubleshoot mobile network systems across sites in Western North Carolina and Tennessee. The role requires travel to client sites and strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
You will handle triage, fault isolation, and remediation while using multiple ticketing systems to track issues and improve processes. Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays are expected in this field-based position.

Performing optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems and applications to identify overall system availability and performance.
Evaluating network coverage to find gaps, making recommendations to improve coverage, and helping to implement those recommendations.
Traveling to various site locations in Western North Carolina and Tennessee
Performing triage, fault isolation, and remediation of network events.
Generating, driving, and updating problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems and continuously improving business practices.
Escalating issues to the appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution.
Being the first one to encounter and solve a problem is enjoyable to you. You’re great at following an established process or procedure to complete tasks. Experience navigating and working well at all levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing network environment. You are dependable and enjoy supporting the rotational needs of a technical environment.
You’ll need to have:
Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Experience with AI tools (Gemini, Claude Code, etc.) in a technical or professional setting.
Valid drivers license and able to drive company vehicle to sites in NC and Tennessee
Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A technical degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies including: Telephony Switching, Data Communications and Network Routers.
Active DOT or CDL
Computer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations.
Vendor management experience.
Ericsson wireless based equipment knowledge.
Data-centric AI methodology to improve daily operations.
In this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location(s).
