Hitachi Energy USA Inc. seeks an experienced Hybrid Technical Consultant to join our Network Control delivery team. The role involves configuring and deploying real‑time SCADA, DMS/EMS solutions for utility and industrial customers, turning grid data into actionable models, and collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 10+ years in IT/IS in a technical support or consulting role.
• Knowledge of OSI model and utility protocols (DNP3, IEC, MODBUS, L&G/ANSI, IEC 60870‑5, TASE.2).
• Proficiency with C, C++, and Fortran; relational databases and Oracle.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux; strong MS Project, Office, and Visio.
• Clear written and verbal English communication; ability to travel internationally.

Your background

Proficiency with C, C++, and Fortran; strong grounding in relational databases, data modeling, and Oracle. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Office, and Visio. Clear written and verbal communication in English; proactive, solution‑oriented mindset; ability to travel internationally as needed Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
