Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in product compliance or regulatory affairs.
• Experience leading certification efforts with external labs.

Responsibilities

• Lead product certification and compliance projects for hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies.
• Coordinate testing activities with third-party laboratories and regulatory bodies.
• Review testing results and partner with engineering teams to resolve compliance gaps.
• Author and maintain compliance documentation, certification reports, and declarations of conformity.
• Provide guidance on CE Marking, EU Directives, Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, CRA, and related compliance frameworks.
• Stay current on emerging regulations impacting networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and AI technologies.

The Technical Compliance Certification Engineer will drive product certification initiatives, ensure compliance with global regulatory standards, and partner with engineering teams and testing labs to bring innovative technologies to market. The Technical Compliance Certification Engineer role is a long term contract opportunity and allows you to work remote in EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Technical Compliance Certification Engineer:

• Lead product certification and compliance projects for hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies.
• Coordinate testing activities with third-party laboratories and regulatory bodies.
• Review testing results and partner with engineering teams to resolve compliance gaps.

Requirements of the Technical Compliance Certification Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in product compliance, certification engineering, or regulatory affairs.
• Strong project management background with experience leading certification efforts.
• Expertise with CE Marking and EU Directives including EMC, LVD, RED, and RoHS.
• Experience with Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, CRA, or cloud compliance programs.
• Experience working directly with external testing labs and certification bodies.

Compensation for the Technical Compliance Certification Engineer:

• $90,000 - $110,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
