Job summary

Weber Blackstone is hiring a Technical Communications Designer to craft user manuals, assembly guides, and operation graphics. You will collaborate with Product Development, Compliance, Engineering, Marketing and Sales, reporting to the Technical Communications Manager.

This is a hybrid role with in-office days at the Palatine, IL campus. You’ll ensure regulatory and country language requirements are met, manage part numbers, and release PDFs for print using Adobe CC on Mac.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with related experience.
• Experience in technical design, writing or graphic design.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
• Strong command of English writing and spelling.
• Experience with regulated industries and standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce user manuals, assembly guides, and operation graphics.
• Ensure documents meet regulatory and country language requirements.
• Coordinate statements, warnings, and warranty information with regulatory teams.
• Participate in technical writing during concept development.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and revisions.
• Layout documents with Adobe CC on Mac, and manage part numbers and data.
• Test and analyze instructions for clarity and accuracy; provide feedback.
• Create and inspect PDF files for final release and print.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, R&D and Engineering for consistency.
