HUBER TECHNOLOGY LLC in Denver, NC seeks an Installation Planning Designer to create installation drawings and technical documentation for wastewater projects using CAD and Windchill PLM. You will collaborate with CAD staff regionally/internationally to ensure consistent documentation.

The role requires reviewing blueprints and BOMs, plus maintaining design calculations. Experience in municipal/industrial layout, parametric CAD, and SAP/ERP tools is preferred.

• Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD design/drafting or related field, plus at least 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Component modeling, technical documentation and drawing experience using parametric/solid modeling (CAD) software.
• Experience with Windchill PLM software, Team Center or ERP/IFS and SAP.
• Experience in equipment layout for municipal and/or industrial construction projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Germany up to twice per year.

Salary Range: $34.00 To $40.00 Hourly

I. JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the (CAD) Manager, the Installation Planning Designer performs a variety of design drafting activities including preparing technical documentation and the creation of installation drawings with models for projects. Other duties may be assigned.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare technical documentation, dimensional (waste water treatment) installation drawings, models and revise the layouts from general written or verbal specifications in collaboration with the (CAD) departments staff regional and international to ensure consistent documentation standards of all projects, as directed.
• Able to review and understand blueprints, site plans, specifications and other customer documentation requested as needed.
• Experience working with parametric, non-parametric (CAD) modeling software.
• Fulfill other duties as required relating to all (CAD) database maintenance, Windchill (PLM) and (IFS/ERP) etc.
• Work with project teams to execute projects and deliver in a timely manner, which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements.
• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (such as, bill of materials, and design parameters) for future reference as to established procedures by the (CAD) team.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

IV. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a hybrid (CAD) remote option office setting.

Occasional visits to customer sites may be required.

Occasionally perform work in the manufacturing facility (dust and noise may be present)

Training may take place in Germany

V. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The (CAD) designer must be able to concentrate for extended periods paying close attention to detail. The (CAD) designer’s work environment does not require much physical movement.

Individual will need sufficient remote technology required to perform (CAD) in the hybrid office environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Consistent attendance is important to this role to project dates and manufacturing deadlines dependent on the drawings and commitments to our vendors and customers.

VI. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a Full-Time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8 to 5pm. (Remote work is an encouraged option)

VII. TRAVEL

Must have passport, or ability to obtain passport upon date of hire.

Annual or bi-annual training in Germany

Limited travel required to visit customer sites or tradeshows.

VIII. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in (CAD) design/drafting or related field, plus at least 3-5 years of related work experience: or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Component modeling, technical documentation and drawing experience using parametric/solid modeling (CAD) software (Required).
• Experience with Windchill PLM software, Team Center or ERP/IFS and SAP

(Strongly recommended).

• Experience in equipment layout for municipal and/or industrial construction projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Germany up to twice per year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical documentation, product design drawings and component modeling using (CAD) parametric, solid modeling software.
• Experience with PDM systems Windchill PLM software, Team Center or ERP/IFS and SAP.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment layout for municipal and/or industrial construction projects.
