Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and sustain client relationships, driving sales for EMCOR Service/Mesa Energy Systems offerings including maintenance, repair and energy-efficiency packages.

The role focuses on guiding Account Managers, delivering technical estimates, and driving Service and Retrofit construction sales with clients and prospects in this market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in HVAC commercial service or related field.
• Broad experience with commercial/industrial systems such as hydronics & steam.
• Broad experience with service, start-up, Cx, and retrofit applications.
• Strong customer presentation skills and a demonstrated sales aptitude.
• Financial acumen, including cost modeling for sales proposals.
• Experience in developing technical and cost proposals.
• Independent decision making is required.
• Computer skills using MS Office required. Strong Excel skills are required.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate information & analysis on time to the assigned Account Managers.
• Develops and complete written scopes of work related to project/service/repair being quoted.
• Performs site visits to gather information required to quote project/repair/service.
• Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to gather information for the project/repair/service.
• Works with vendors to gather costs for services needed to complete the project/repair/service.
• Develops and completes estimates related to project/service/repair being quoted.
• Completes project binders or materials needed for the Account Managers to deliver project/service/repair to the client.
• Prepares and reviews booking packages, quotes and related documents with the Account Managers.
• Uses knowledge base and experience to amend, adjust, change scopes, bid temps, and presentation documents as required.
• In conjunction with the assigned Account Managers, drive Service and Retrofit construction sales.

Job Summary

Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and sustaining relationships that will result in sales and profits with clients or potential clients in each vertical market that EMCOR/Mesa is now penetrating or that Mesa will determine at a future time to penetrate. The BDM will focus their efforts on keeping clients informed about the complete EMCOR Service/Mesa Energy Systems maintenance, and repair, replacement, service and or energy efficiency package with the intent of selling Mesa products and services.
