Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Location: fully remote

Shift: M-F 9am-5pm

Pay Rate: $40-45/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably within health insurance or Medicare.
Strong domain expertise in claims processing, member benefits, and provider/payor operations.
Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation and reporting.
Familiar with EDI data formats and healthcare data exchange.
Experienced in both traditional documentation (BRDs) and Agile methodologies (user stories, sprints).
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to drive tasks independently with minimal guidance.

Insight Global is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join a growing team supporting a major health insurance client. This role is responsible for gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions across Medicare claims, member benefits, and provider/payor operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity and alignment through well-documented requirements and ongoing collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders to capture and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear technical requirements using Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and Agile user stories.
Conduct data analysis and create or modify SQL queries to support project needs and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and development of UI enhancements, including screen mockups or wireframes as needed.
Review, track, and document changes following standard change control processes.
Support the resolution of defects by coordinating with QA/UAT teams and participating in defect triage.
Analyze the impact of business changes, identify risks, and recommend process or system improvements.
Work with EDI data files, supporting integrations and system workflows across platforms.
