Role Overview

The Technical Business Analyst will be part of the MiHIN Business Analysts team, serving as an integral member of the organization. Responsibilities include gathering, evaluating, and reporting on business requirements and processes. The role involves data analysis to support operations and business objectives, with potential light coding, data modeling, and reporting activities.

Position Details

This is a full-time remote position with flexible days and hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Configure FHIR repository to ingest HL7 V2 / V3 data using pre/post processing scripts
2. Configure FHIR Viewer based on internal and external requirements
3. Develop and configure products and services
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate errors
5. Design, update, and test tasks according to documentation requirements
6. Support internal/external customers via helpdesk tickets, maintaining SLAs
7. Translate user and architectural requirements into secure, well-tested implementations
8. Participate in technology findings and solutions implementation, understanding application capabilities, and providing design input
9. Participate in rotation for off-hour deployments
10. Ensure compliance with MiHIN's Security Policies and Procedures

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Business Administration, or related field
• 1-3 years of Java scripting experience
• 1-3 years of experience as a business analyst, operations analyst, project coordinator, or similar role
• Knowledge of health information technology, including EHR, patient care flow, and hospital systems
• Experience with SDLC methodology, including documentation, test plans, and cases
• Strong requirements analysis, testing, and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge of MPI, PL/SQL, SQL, FHIR, or SaaS
• Experience with APIs and cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
• User Acceptance Testing experience
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies

Additional Details

May lead or supervise an intern. Starting salary is $80,000, commensurate with experience and education.
