Switch Tech Talent is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to drive systems integration across customer systems, partners and services in a hybrid Beverly, MA setting. You will turn complex needs into practical specs for delivery teams and own integration analysis through rollout.

This technically focused role requires hands-on experience with APIs, data mappings and end-to-end data flows, plus strong collaboration with engineers, product teams, and external partners to ensure reliable

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Technical Business Analyst – Systems Integration

Beverly, MA | Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office | Full-time

Switch Tech Talent are partnering with a growing public safety technology business whose software helps communities across the US improve road safety. They’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to help connect their platforms with customer systems, technology partners and third-party services.

This is a technically focused BA role, with systems integration at its core. You’ll take ownership of analysis from initial discovery through implementation, testing and roll-out, turning complex requirements into clear, practical specifications for delivery teams.

What you’ll be doing as the Technical Business Analyst:

• Lead integration discovery: Work directly with customers, partners and third-party suppliers to understand requirements, existing systems, constraints and dependencies.
• Get into the technical detail: Review API documentation, interface specifications, data models and system behavior to identify integration gaps, risks and potential solutions.
• Map how systems connect: Document end-to-end data flows, field mappings, business rules and validation requirements, including error handling, retries and reconciliation.
• Create clear requirements: Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, process flows, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support delivery through to rollout: Partner with Engineering and QA on integration testing and UAT, coordinating test environments, data and connectivity while helping resolve issues.

What we’re looking for as the technical Business Analyst:

• You’ll typically bring 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Integration Analyst, Systems Analyst or in a similar role, alongside:
• Experience analyzing, defining or delivering integrations between software systems, including working with APIs and third-party platforms.
• An understanding of integration methods such as webhooks, file or batch exchange and SFTP.
• Strong documentation and process-modeling skills, with confidence interpreting data structures and documenting interface requirements and field mappings.
• The ability to work confidently with engineers, product teams, customers and external technical partners, taking ownership of analysis and following issues through to resolution.
