Job summary

The Illinois Commerce Commission seeks a Technical Advisor II - IDP Attorney, based in Springfield, to provide specialized legal guidance and represent staff before Administrative Law Judges and in court proceedings. Qualifications

• Requires a law degree.
• Requires a license in good standing to practice law in the State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Represents staff before Administrative Law Judges at the ICC on various docketed matters.
• Researches and provides legal analysis and advice on matters before the ICC and issues arising during the day.
• Represents the ICC before courts on matters resulting from Commission action or other matters affecting the ICC.
• Reviews legislation, analyzes proposed legislation, and advises on legislative initiatives.
• Performs other duties within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent
