Responsibilities
  • Processing insurance binders and/or issuing policies, stamping policies, and sending copies to producer and carrier as applicable.
  • Processing and stamping policy endorsements within required time frames, sending endorsements to producer and carrier.
  • Requesting loss runs from carrier or generating them from the carrier website as applicable and creating renewal files.
  • Examining documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and loss runs for accuracy, consistency with coverages quoted/bound, and forwarding documents to carrier as applicable.
  • Following up with producers for signed inspection recommendation compliance letters that are past due.
  • Working with brokers to ensure all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and state tax forms are obtained and filed in accordance with appropriate state laws.
  • Following up with producers on payments that are past due.
  • Reviewing indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness and accuracy.
  • Becoming familiar with all agency management software systems, carrier platforms, and suggesting labor‑saving uses to the Operations Leader.
  • Ordering inspections, identifying types of policies and common information needed for inspections.
  • Providing telephone assistance, answering basic questions from producers and referring more complex questions to an Underwriter.
Licenses and Certifications

An active state insurance license.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
  • Exceptional and professional written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
