Job summary

ENCAVIS Management GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a Technical Asset Manager Wind to own and optimize the performance of a portfolio of wind farms. You will liaise with operations, service providers, OEMs and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient operation and maximize energy production.

You will monitor KPIs, lead inspections and defect management, support due diligence and repowering projects, and coordinate major maintenance with cross‑functional teams to enhance long‑term asset value.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Experience in construction, operation or technical management of renewable energy assets.
• Knowledge of wind turbine technology and maintenance strategies.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical performance of wind portfolio.
• Monitor performance, KPIs, energy yields, and implement improvements.
• Manage service providers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate inspections, commissioning, and defect management.
• Support due diligence and repowering projects.
• Coordinate maintenance, assess risks, and lifecycle management.

Take Ownership of the Technical Performance of Our Wind Portfolio

As a Technical Asset Manager Wind, you will be responsible for the technical performance, reliability, and long‑term value creation of a portfolio of operational wind farms. Acting as a key interface between operations, service providers, turbine manufacturers, authorities, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure that our assets operate safely, efficiently, and in line with performance expectations. Through technical analyses, optimisation initiatives, and close stakeholder management, you will directly contribute to maximizing asset availability and energy production while supporting the continued growth of our wind business.

Your sunny outlook:

• Technical Asset Ownership: You take full technical responsibility for an assigned portfolio of operational wind farms and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all assets.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: You monitor technical performance, analyse operational KPIs and energy yields, and implement measures to improve availability, reliability, and production.
• Service Provider & OEM Management: You manage technical operators, O&M contractors, and service providers while strengthening strategic partnerships with wind turbine manufacturers and representing Encavis' interests towards key OEMs.
• Inspections, Acceptance & Defect Management: You coordinate site inspections, commissioning and acceptance activities, oversee defect rectification processes, and support warranty and claims management.
• Technical Due Diligence & Project Support: You evaluate new investment opportunities, support technical due diligence processes, and contribute your expertise to optimisation and repowering projects.
• Operational Risk & Lifecycle Management: You coordinate major maintenance activities, assess technical risks, and support initiatives that enhance long‑term asset performance and value.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: You work closely with Commercial Asset Management, Investment Management, HSE, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders to continuously improve processes, standards, and reporting structures.

• Relevant Technical Qualification: You hold a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Renewable Energy Engineering, or have a comparable technical qualification.
• Wind Industry Experience: You have experience in the construction, operation, or technical management of renewable energy assets, ideally within the wind sector.
• Technical Asset Management Expertise: You understand wind turbine technology, maintenance strategies, and the operational drivers of asset performance.
• Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable analysing technical and operational data and translating findings into practical optimisation measures.
• Ownership & Initiative: You take responsibility for your topics, work independently, and approach challenges in a structured and solution‑oriented manner.
• Digital Skills: You have strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, and are confident working with technical and operational datasets.
• Communication & Mobility: You communicate confidently in German and English and are willing to travel for inspections, acceptance activities, commissioning, and project‑related meetings. Additional language skills, especially French, are an advantage.
