Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Technical Assembler I to build product inspection equipment using hand/power tools, schematics, and documented instructions. You will follow detailed prints, ensure safety and quality standards, and report issues to the Assembly Lead to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical aptitude, accurate time tracking, and collaboration with Engineering while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years assembly experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Quality and safety awareness.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Construct product inspection equipment in accordance with risk assessment and safe mechanical and electrical guidelines.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Assembly Lead and/or Assembly Manager.
• Document actions by completing quality checklists.
• Work with Engineering to understand process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality.
• Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing function.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by promoting good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Accurately track and record time spent on projects.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Follow detailed electrical and mechanical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
