Technical Architect – Salesforce Data 360 / Data Cloud Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedTechnical Architect specializing in Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)to support a major Sales Transformation and RCA Migration initiative.

The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on expertise inSalesforce Data 360 architecture, data integration, data modeling, identity resolution, and Agentforce. This role requires someone who can assess and optimize an existing Data 360 implementation, develop enterprise-grade architecture and solution designs, and seamlessly transition from architecture into hands-on configuration and development.

Candidates must be local to the San Francisco Bay Areaand able to travel to the client location for on-site or hybrid collaboration as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Assessment & Optimization

• Conduct an end-to-end assessment of the existing Salesforce Data 360 implementation.

• Identify performance and architectural bottlenecks across identity resolution, data ingestion pipelines, calculated insights, and data processing.

• Develop and execute optimization strategies aligned with Salesforce best practices.

• Evaluate existing architecture and recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Solution Design & Technical Governance

• Design scalable, enterprise-grade Data 360 architecture supporting Sales Transformation and RCA Migration requirements.

• Translate business and technical requirements into robust Data 360 solution designs.

• Establish technical standards, design patterns, and governance practices.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across project teams.

Data Ingestion & Integration

• Configure, develop, and optimize batch and real-time/streaming data ingestion.

• Design and implement integration patterns connecting enterprise data sources to Data 360.

• Work with technologies and platforms including:

  • Amazon S3

  • Snowflake

  • MuleSoft

  • Google BigQuery

  • Kafka

• LeverageZero Copyand standard Data 360 ingestion frameworks where appropriate.

• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, integrations, and data flows.

Data Modeling & Architecture

• Design and implement data models usingData Model Objects (DMOs)andData Stream Objects (DSOs).

• Map incoming source data streams (DDS) to Data 360 data models using theCloud Information Model (CIM)and custom schema structures.

• Define data harmonization strategies and ensure consistent enterprise data models.

• Design identity resolution rulesets and optimize matching and reconciliation processes.

Agentforce & AI Data Architecture

• Design and configureSalesforce Data 360 as the trusted data foundation for Agentforce.

• Enable enterprise data access and grounding for AI agents.

• Support real-time data access, vector embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and related AI data patterns.

• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and relevance for Agentforce use cases.

Hands-on Implementation

• Transition effectively from high-level architecture and solution design into hands-on technical implementation.

• Configure Data 360 components and data pipelines.

• Develop and optimizeDataWeave transformations.

• Create segments and calculated insights.

• Configure APIs and integration services.

• Troubleshoot implementation issues and provide hands-on technical leadership to development teams.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience withSalesforce Data 360 / Data Cloudin a Technical Architect or equivalent senior technical role.

• Proven experience assessing existing Data 360 implementations and recommending architectural and performance improvements.

• Strong expertise inData 360 data ingestion, integration, data modeling, identity resolution, and calculated insights.

• Experience with batch and streaming ingestion frameworks and custom/standard connectors.

• Strong understanding ofZero Copy architecture and enterprise data integration patterns.

• Experience withData Model Objects (DMOs), Data Stream Objects (DSOs), Cloud Information Model (CIM), and identity resolution rulesets.

• Experience integrating enterprise data platforms such asS3, Snowflake, MuleSoft, BigQuery, and Kafka.

• Hands-on experience with data harmonization, governance, security modeling, and enterprise data architecture.

• Direct experience usingData 360 to provide trusted data and context for Agentforce/AI agents.

• Experience with vector embeddings, RAG, and AI grounding concepts is highly desirable.

• Ability to work at both the architectural/design level and the hands-on implementation level.

• Strong communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
