Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a manufacturing product development professional in Wisconsin to develop and maintain BOMs, manage MES data, and oversee shelf-life records in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or related field
  • 1+ year of hands-on product development, formulation, and manufacturing experience involving ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages or related technologies
  • Knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principles
  • Experience leading medium-complexity technical projects and working effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process
  • Support MES imports, updates and reviews
  • Update and maintain records of finished product shelf life to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Highlight any gaps discovered and work with team to fix
  • Review for potential shelf life extensions
  • Prepare and follow up on Industrial Trial, FOC, SOC
  • Keep quality/finished product assessments
  • Create and maintain block diagram/process flow
  • Support product and process renovation through formulation adjustments and process improvements
  • Prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of manufacturing documentation (recipes, batch records, specifications, change controls, QMS, EQAs)
  • Analyze and interpret data to support statistical evaluations, problem‑solving, and continuous process improvements
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve product, raw material, and supply‑related issues
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and changes to management in a timely manner
  • Support scale‑up, validation, and technology transfer activities
  • Engage with suppliers, external partners, and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while building cross‑functional relationships and enhancing team efficiency

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process
  • Support team by handling Manufacturing Execution System (MES) imports, updates and reviews
  • Update and maintain records of finished product shelf life to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Highlight any gaps discovered and work with team to fix
  • Review for potential shelf life extensions
  • Prepare and follow up on Industrial Trial, FOC (First Order Confirmation), SOC (Second Order Confirmation)
  • Keeping quality/finished product assessments
  • Creation and maintenance of block diagram/process flow
  • Support product and process renovation through formulation adjustments, reformulation efforts, and process improvements
  • Prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of manufacturing documentation (e.g., recipes, batch records, specifications, change controls, QMS, EQAs) while adhering to company policies, SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and interpret data to support statistical evaluations, problem‑solving, and continuous process improvements
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally (Quality, Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to resolve product, raw material, and supply‑related issues
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and changes to management in a timely manner
  • Support scale‑up, validation, and technology transfer activities to internal and external manufacturing partners
  • Engage with suppliers, external partners, and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while building strong cross‑functional relationships and enhancing team efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or related field
  • 1+ year of hands‑on product development, formulation, and manufacturing experience involving ready‑to‑drink (RTD) beverages or related technologies
  • Knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principles
  • Experience leading medium‑complexity technical projects and working effectively within cross‑functional teams
  • Previous manufacturing or factory experience, preferred
  • Preferred experience with product scale‑up, validation, and technology transfer activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to be exposed to food allergens and allergen‑containing materials
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%
