Job summary

Corewell Health's Troy Hospital Emergency Center is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment offering full-time day shifts (7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) with a 36-hour workweek and every third weekend.

The role supports patient care by stocking equipment, obtaining vital signs, applying monitors, and transporting patients within the EC service line. Required are a high school diploma or EC Student Co-op program completion, and BLS certification; related patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Corewell Health EC Student Co-op program, or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Related patient care experience preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient care team in stocking and maintaining equipment in the Emergency Room
• provide patient care such as obtaining vital signs
• applying monitors
• transporting EC Service Line patients to and from testing and to the patient care units
• in certain circumstances, to provide companionship and observation to patients in order to limit purposeful or non-purposeful self-inflicted injury

The emergency Center at Beaumont Troy is a fast paced, high acuity Level 2 trauma center. Seeing over 100,000 patients a year makes it the 3rd busiest in the state.

Scope of work

Orientation

This position requires 3 days of corporate orientation. The schedule is Monday-Wednesday, 7am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of Corewell Health EC Student Co-op program, or high school diploma or equivalent required


• Related patient care experience preferred


• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
