Job summary

CFS is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting & Transactions in Orlando, FL. The candidate will lead acquisition accounting from LOI through close, perform PPA analyses, and develop supporting accounting policies while collaborating with senior leadership on complex U.S. GAAP matters.

The role emphasizes building a formal technical accounting function in a newly created position and ensuring compliant reporting across financial and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive technical accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 805, ASC 606, and U.S. GAAP.
• Background in public accounting, accounting advisory, transaction services, and/or corporate accounting.
• Insurance, MGA, distribution, or other fee-based business experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASC 805 acquisition accounting from LOI through measurement-period close.
• Analyze purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, intangible assets, contingencies, and valuation reports.
• Research and document technical accounting matters involving ASC 606, debt, leases, consolidations, and related-party transactions.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and maintain accounting policies.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to implement accounting conclusions and reporting requirements.
