Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Manager to join our Technical Accounting team. You will evaluate complex transactions and lead Hyatt’s quarterly and annual impairment process, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting and disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K filings.

The role requires a CPA and 6+ years of accounting experience, with a hybrid in-office schedule and strong communication skills to support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting and/or public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex accounting research under U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Finance teams.
• Review quarterly and annual impairment and CECL analyses.
• Oversee quarterly fair value updates.
• Prepare and review disclosures for Hyatt’s 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Prepare/disclose checklists to ensure GAAP/SEC compliance.
• Prepare materials for Hyatt’s Audit Committee meetings.
• Review new or amended contracts for accounting implications.
• Track new accounting pronouncements and implement as needed.
• Coach, supervise, and mentor senior accountants.
