Job summary

LHH is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team in Fort Worth. This highly visible role works directly with senior leadership on complex accounting transactions, technical accounting matters, SEC reporting, and strategic corporate initiatives.

This position pays $125,000–$135,000 plus bonus and offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will research and advise on acquisitions, restructurings, equity transactions, PPA, and new accounting standards, while preparing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven GAAP research.
• Experience drafting technical accounting memorandums.
• Ability to independently identify accounting issues and develop defensible conclusions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and provide recommendations on complex technical accounting matters.
• Prepare technical accounting memorandums and supporting documentation for significant business transactions.
• Evaluate the accounting impact of acquisitions, debt restructurings, equity transactions, and other complex corporate events.
• Assist with purchase price allocations (PPA) related to business combinations and acquisitions.
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to technical accounting matters.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings.
• Assist with preparation of acquisition-related financial statements and pro forma reporting requirements.
• Analyze complex accounting issues and independently develop well-supported accounting conclusions.
• Partner with finance and business leaders to assess the accounting implications of proposed transactions.
• Support external audit and quarterly review processes.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for executive leadership.
• Participate in special projects and other strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do

What They're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required

• Ability to independently identify accounting issues, perform research, and develop defensible conclusions
