Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented accounting leader to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial clarity. The role reports to the VP of Finance and focuses initially on cleaning up and optimizing the NetSuite Chart of Accounts, setting the foundation for scalability and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Own the cleanup and optimization of the NetSuite Chart of Accounts.
• Provide guidance on complex transactions like reinsurance, investments, and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies, preparing necessary documentation.
• Support SOX/internal controls over financial reporting.
• Partner with actuarial, legal, and compliance teams to align accounting policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for automation and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years in public or corporate accounting, preferably in warranty, insurance, or financial services
• Strong experience with NetSuite, including COA design/cleanup
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Advanced Excel skills
