Responsibilities

• Coordinate audits and support external reporting.
• Improve accounting policies and processes through continuous improvements.
• Coach and develop accounting staff.

Our client is a medical technology company. They seek a Technical Accounting Manager to join their Leesburg, VA office.

Responsibilities

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Advise on technical accounting matters, including lease accounting (ASC 842) and consolidations (ASC 810)
• Administer fixed asset accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory-related accounting activities
• Evaluate balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules
• Partner with FP&A, supply chain, sales, and commercial finance teams to support accurate reporting and cost allocations
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure efficient execution and successful completion
• Enhance accounting policies, procedures, and operational processes through continuous improvement initiatives
• Cultivate the development of accounting staff through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
• Safeguard compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls
