Job summary

WORLDPAY, LLC is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to help shape global financial reporting. The role anchors technical accounting research, GAAP-compliant reporting, and coordination with external auditors within a dynamic Accounting & Finance team.

You will drive close processes, monitor new accounting standards, and partner with tax and finance across the organization to ensure accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of experience with technical accounting and financial reporting.
• CPA preferred.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP general ledger systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical accounting research (e.g. revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, stock compensation, software).
• Documents accounting conclusions in memos as necessary.
• Assists in preparing internal and external financial reporting in GAAP.
• Coordinates with external auditors and prepares required documentation for the audit.
• Contributes to SOX 404 internal control development and testing.
• Stays current on new accounting standards and estimates impact on financials.
• Advises business management on accounting matters.
• Plays a key role in monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Participates in valuations for business combinations and related accounting.
• Participates in special projects addressing accounting, reporting, and operations.
• Supports annual goodwill impairment assessment and cross-functional liaison with tax.
