Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group seeks a Technical Accounting Lead to join its Global Controllership team in Milwaukee. The role focuses on researching and documenting accounting conclusions under US GAAP, leading technical accounting support for complex transactions, and coordinating with external auditors.

The ideal candidate will have CPA, 5+ years in accounting with a strong GAAP base, and experience with SEC reporting and complex disclosures. Hybrid work schedule with onsite HQ in Milwaukee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, CPA preferred.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience including technical accounting and external reporting.
• Public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls.
• Ability to research complex accounting issues and communicate conclusions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and evaluation of complex accounting matters under US GAAP and interpretive guidance for strategic transactions.
• Evaluate global accounting matters including IFRS and GAAP differences.
• Develop and communicate accounting memoranda for senior leadership and external auditors.
• Coordinate with external firms and manage liaison with auditors on technical topics.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close and external reporting (Form 10-Q/10-K).
• Draft disclosures and maintain accounting policies and governance.
• Coach and mentor team members within Global Controllership.
