Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group seeks an experienced Technical Accounting Lead to join the Global Controllership team in Milwaukee. You will research and communicate accounting conclusions under U.S.

GAAP, lead technical accounting support for complex transactions (acquisitions/divestitures), and partner with Finance and external auditors across a global organization. You will coach team members, monitor new standards, and contribute to policy development while supporting external reporting and disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting background, Big Four preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting research.
• Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters.
• Experience with SEC reporting and financial statement disclosures.
• Experience in a complex, global publicly traded organization.
• Ability to interpret complex guidance and develop defensible conclusions.
• Strong written communication and ability to translate technical accounting concepts.
• Excellent organization and project management skills.
• MS Office; Oracle, OneStream, Workiva experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and evaluation of complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and applicable guidance.
• Evaluate global accounting matters under local GAAP (IFRS) and differences with U.S. GAAP.
• Develop well-supported accounting memoranda for senior leadership and external audit.
• Communicate technical accounting conclusions to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation of new standards.
• Lead consultations with external accounting firms and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and governance.
• Partner with Global Finance on ASC 606/842/326 matters.
• Lead reviews of open technical accounting matters and communicate impacts.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close and control certifications.
• Support external reporting filings (Form 10-Q/10-K, proxies) in Workiva.
• Draft disclosures and perform tie-outs to supporting records.
• Support annual employee benefit plan financial reports as needed.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Contribute to Global Controllership initiatives.
