Job summary

Snorkel AI is seeking an Accounting Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting in the Bay Area. Hybrid schedule with 3x in‑office weekly in downtown SF.

You will own the monthly close, prepare technical accounting analyses, and support audits while building scalable processes and internal controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, CPA or active CPA pursuit, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA preferred or actively pursuing CPA.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech or high-growth environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP and audit support experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and review journals.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and support complex accounting conclusions.
• Partner with finance and operations to evaluate accounting implications of new transactions.
• Maintain accounting policies and ensure consistent application across the organization.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as primary contact for auditors.
• Develop standardized reporting packages for management and external stakeholders.
