Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) seeks a Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead external financial reporting, support internal reporting, and manage audit deliverables. The role requires CPA-level depth in U.S. GAAP and strong communication across stakeholders in a dynamic energy company.

The ideal candidate will own complex reporting matters, coordinate cross-functionally, and drive improvements in close processes while ensuring audit readiness in a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting or public accounting.
• Experience leading complex reporting, audit, or technical accounting matters.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual external reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Operations to ensure complete, accurate reporting packages.
• Manage key audit deliverables and liaise with external auditors.
• Research, document, and conclude on complex accounting matters; prepare technical memoranda.
• Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the company.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen reporting timelines and controls.
• Support monthly/quarterly close and ad hoc analyses of operating results and entity activity.
