Job summary

Steward Partners Global Advisory is seeking a motivated Technical Accounting Associate to support US GAAP technical accounting, equity management, and financial reporting. You will work with the Technical Accounting Manager on complex transactions, including equity-based compensation and M&A activity, in a fast-growing private financial services firm.

This role builds foundational technical accounting expertise while contributing to policy development, audit support, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Foundational knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining technical accounting memos.
• Support equity accounting processes and journal entries.
• Contribute to accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Assist with audit support and documentation.
• Research technical accounting topics and summarize findings.
• Support data gathering for M&A and complex transactions.
