Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, CA seeks a Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting Manager to own SEC filings, ensure GAAP compliance, and strengthen internal controls across a multinational tech company.

You will lead drafting of 10-Qs/10-Ks, oversee XBRL tagging, support proxy statements, and partner with Investor Relations for accurate disclosures. Must have CPA, 7+ years and deep US GAAP/SEC knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • 7+ years of experience in Big 4 and high-tech multinational settings.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Strong SOX and internal controls experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and filing of all SEC documents (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks).
  • Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual proxy statement and additional SEC filings.
  • Assist with investor relations, earnings releases and presentations.
  • Perform technical accounting research and document findings.
  • Stay current on evolving ASC/SEC rules and drive adoption.
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to strengthen controls.

What You'll Do:
  • SEC Reporting & Compliance:
  • Lead the drafting and filing of all SEC financial documents, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks.
  • Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual proxy statement and additional SEC filings.
  • Investor Relations & Financial Communication:
  • Assist with earnings releases and investor presentations, ensuring accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide insights and financial data to support investor confidence.
  • Technical Accounting & Research:
  • Conduct research on complex technical accounting matters and document findings.
  • Stay updated on emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, driving the adoption of new standards.
  • SOX Compliance & Internal Controls:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive SOX program management, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial reporting processes.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members within the financial reporting function.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence in financial reporting.
What You'll Bring:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-tech industry experience in a multinational company.
  • Technical & Regulatory Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Proven experience in researching and documenting complex accounting issues.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Leadership & Project Management:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to influence senior stakeholders.
Salary Range

$140,000 - $160,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
