Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, CA seeks a Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting Manager to lead the SEC reporting function and ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. You will drive the preparation and filing of critical SEC documents and oversee internal controls and research on complex accounting issues.

You will draft and file 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks, support the proxy process, and support investor communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-tech industry experience in a multinational company.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEC reporting & compliance, including drafting and filing 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks.
• Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support the annual proxy statement and additional SEC filings.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the financial reporting team.
• Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial reporting processes.

What You'll Do:

• SEC Reporting & Compliance:
• Lead the drafting and filing of all SEC financial documents, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks.
• Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support the annual proxy statement and additional SEC filings.
• Investor Relations & Financial Communication:
• Assist with earnings releases and investor presentations, ensuring accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide insights and financial data to support investor confidence.
• Technical Accounting & Research:
• Conduct research on complex technical accounting matters and document findings.
• Stay updated on emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, driving the adoption of new standards.
• SOX Compliance & Internal Controls:
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive SOX program management, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial reporting processes.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members within the financial reporting function.

What You'll Bring:

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification required.

Salary Range

$140,000 - $160,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
