LanceSoft is seeking a Reporting and Technical Accountant for a White Plains, NY assignment. The role supports the preparation and review of key financial reports, including audited statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely delivery.

You will serve as a technical accounting resource for GAAP, GASB, and FERC matters, collaborating with finance and non-financial stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity in disclosures.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, GASB, and FERC accounting and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting guidance.
• Experience with audited financial statements and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting guidance on GAAP, GASB, and FERC requirements to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Job Title: Reporting and Technical Accountant

Location: White Plains NY

Duration: 12 Months

Payrate: $50 - $55 per hour

Schedule: Hybrid - minimum of 3 days on-site, fully on-site depending on department requirements.

Job Description:

Supports the preparation of key internal and external financial reports, including hands on preparation and review of company's audited annual financial statements (Management Discussion and Analysis, Consolidated Statements of Net Position, Consolidated Statements of Revenues, Expenses and Changes in Net Position, Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows, notes to the financial statements, and required supplementary information). Ensures technical accuracy, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and timely delivery of reporting requirements. Serves as a technical accounting resource for GAAP and FERC matters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical accounting guidance on GAAP, GASB, and FERC requirements to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and quality control of the audited annual financial report and related disclosures.

Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, GASB, and FERC accounting and reporting frameworks.

• Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate technical guidance clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Education & Certifications:

• Minimum 7 years of financial accounting and reporting experience, including demonstrated experience with technical accounting and preparation of audited financial statements.
