Job summary

SeaWorld is seeking a Technical Accountant to join our corporate office team in Orlando. You will perform daily accounting functions, reconcile ledgers, post journal entries, and support audits while collaborating with parks and corporate finance staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Business Administration and at least one year of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred. Strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Business Administration.
• At least one year of accounting experience; or working towards degree and 5 years accounting experience.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to independently complete work in a timely manner.
• Ability to complete ad hoc projects at the request of management or auditors.
• Strong communication skills and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete reconciliations for general ledger accounts and analyze variances.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting records.
• Assist in audit processes and facilitate information flow.
• Generate accounting documents and ad hoc analyses for internal and external customers.
• Support corporate finance departments with reporting, budgeting and other tasks.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
