Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Orlando is seeking a Technical Accountant to support day-to-day corporate accounting. You will work with teams across the corporate office and parks to ensure accurate ledgers and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration, have GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and are comfortable managing multiple projects in a team. Master’s degree and SAP experience are a plus; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
• GAAP knowledge required.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete reconciliations for general ledger accounts (e.g., cash accounts, prepaid and payable accounts, etc.) including analyzing supporting records & variances, and performing follow-up
• Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., expense accruals, cash activity / transactions, etc.) including analyzing and understanding supporting operational and financial records and accounts to ensure entries are posted correctly
• Assist as needed in the facilitation of audit processes
• Generate accounting documents and develop ad hoc analyses for both internal and external customers
• Provide assistance as needed to other Corporate Finance departments (for example, corporate financial reporting, capital accounting, budgeting)
• Special projects and other duties as assigned
