Job summary

Massive is seeking a Technical Account Manager to build deep client relationships across developers, quant shops, and asset managers. You’ll drive value, own renewals, and identify growth opportunities while coordinating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape a premier data platform.

You’ll translate client feedback into actionable product input and represent Massive at client sites and industry events, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and scalable best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in account management, relationship management, or customer success in financial data, fintech, SaaS, or capital markets.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding expansion and retention targets across a mixed book of business.
  • Consultative, client-first approach; build relationships over time.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive with strong commercial instincts and contract negotiation.
  • Comfort discussing APIs, data schemas, and developer workflows.
  • Excellent communicator with developers and exec stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with pipeline hygiene and forecasting discipline.

Job description

As a Technical Account Manager at Massive, you'll build and nurture relationships with clients ranging from independent developers and quant shops to institutional asset managers and trading desks, serving as the trusted advisor for Massive's data solutions.

As a Technical Account Manager at Massive, you'll build and nurture relationships with clients ranging from independent developers and quant shops to institutional asset managers and trading desks. You are the trusted advisor for Massive's data solutions.

This is not a passive renewals role. You'll drive growth, champion client value, and bring the customer's voice into how we build, working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience and help define what great looks like at a company building something genuinely new.

Responsibilities
  • Build deep relationships across the client organization, from end-users to senior leadership and key decision-makers
  • Ensure clients are getting consistent value from Massive's solutions, managing renewals and identifying opportunities to grow the relationship based on how their needs evolve
  • Work with data partners and clients to source and deliver datasets that aren't yet in Massive's catalog, coordinating between both sides to make it happen through the platform
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals and negotiations with commercial rigor
  • Lead with curiosity, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor who understands client needs through genuine exploration
  • Translate client feedback, feature requests, and pain points into structured input for the Product and Engineering teams
  • Represent Massive at client sites, industry events, and conferences
  • Contribute to playbooks, case studies, and best practices that scale what works
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3 to 6 years in account management, relationship management, or customer success, ideally within financial data, fintech, SaaS, or capital markets
  • A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding expansion and retention targets across a book of business spanning both individual contributors and institutional clients
  • Naturally consultative and client-first; you invest in understanding the client's situation before offering solutions, and you treat relationships as something you're building over time
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive, with strong commercial instincts and comfort negotiating contracts and articulating value
  • Technically curious; you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing APIs, data schemas, and developer workflows
  • Excellent communicator, equally at ease with developers and executive stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong pipeline hygiene, forecasting discipline, and a collaborative approach to working with Sales, Product, and Engineering
Nice to Have
  • Experience with financial market data products such as reference data, pricing feeds, alternative data, tick data, or indices, and an understanding of exchange policies and market data licensing
  • Background working with or selling to buy-side firms (asset managers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms), sell-side desks, or financial technology teams
  • Familiarity with developer-centric products and product-led growth motions
  • Understanding of systematic or quantitative investing workflows
  • Experience at a fintech startup or financial data vendor such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, FactSet, ICE, or S&P
