Job summary

IntelliBee is seeking a Business Analyst - Technical Writer in Spartanburg, SC to standardize and organize authoritative IT documentation. You will work with a Business Analyst, IT SMEs, and leadership to transform discovery findings into clear, accurate documentation supporting cybersecurity, IT operations, incident response, and business continuity.

You will create SOPs, runbooks, system docs, and knowledge-base articles using Word, SharePoint, Visio, and other MS 365 tools, ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of technical writing experience producing professional IT/tech documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 apps (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and related tools.
• Strong proficiency with Visio for diagrams, workflows, and visuals.
• Experience creating SOPs, runbooks, system docs, operational procedures, knowledge articles.
• Strong editing, information architecture, and quality-control skills.
• Ability to work with IT SMEs across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, or IT service domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation using County templates and conventions.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, system and application docs, infrastructure docs, and knowledge-base articles.
• Produce incident-response, disaster-recovery, business-continuity documentation with SMEs.
• Translate complex IT concepts into clear, usable docs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create diagrams and visuals using Microsoft Visio and improve documentation workflows.
• Leverage Microsoft 365 tools for collaboration and documentation lifecycle management.
• Ensure consistent terminology, formatting, versioning, and change history.
• Collaborate with Analysts to convert discovery outputs into finished documentation.
• Lead document reviews with SMEs and prepare materials for publication.
• Help establish templates, naming conventions, and repository structures.
