Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer to join our technical operations team on a Department of Homeland Security contract. The Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer will provide Knowledge Management and technical writing support to share information and produce high quality documentation for IT deployments and operational activities.

You will review, update, and organize existing documentation and capture content to create new materials for documentation related to

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with functional department Subject Matter Experts to promote awareness of Knowledge Management initiatives
• Assist Engineering, End User Support (EUS) and Service Desk with knowledge sharing, including troubleshooting documentation
• Translate technical content into documentation for various media channels
• Collect, organize, and maintain content for Knowledge Repositories
• Disseminate knowledge resources
• Develop and maintain program specific documentation templates
• Participate in guidelines and standards for text and graphics
• Organize, write, edit, and produce documentation for backend consumption (Workflows, How-Tos, SOPs, User Guides)
• Perform periodic reviews to update documentation and propose improvements
• Capture understanding of products/services to translate into clear content
• Coordinate and implement quality-control activities for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure documentation complies with specifications and standards
• Define and monitor Knowledge Management metrics
• Support creation and editing of graphic content for program docs

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer to join our technical operations team on a contract supporting Department of Homeland Security. The Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer is responsible for providing Knowledge Management and technical writing support to share information and produce high quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the organization. The Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer you will review, update, and organize existing documentation; and capture content or support the creation of new content to create documentation related to IT deployments and operational activities. The Knowledge Analyst/Technical Writer will format information for consumption through various media channels to include documented materials, email, websites, and other electronic access points as well ensuring entry into the Knowledge Repository. You will ensure content is reviewed on an ongoing basis, including using available tools, resources, and contacts, to ensure documentation is up to date, understandable, and meets established guidelines. You will also gather information, interview Subject Matter Experts, and conduct research to convey technical content in a concise and effective manner.

• Ensure documentation complies with all applicable specifications, standards, and other project constraints
• Define, document, and monitor baseline Knowledge Management performance metrics and key performance indicators
