Tech Vascular Access - Midline Team | Rapid Response | PRN Night

Join UF Health as a Vascular Access Technician on the Midline Team, providing rapid response care during PRN night shifts.

Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am

The Vascular Access Technician performs and documents routine patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider, following hospital guidelines.

Qualifications

• Age of Patients Served: All age groups
• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational Training
• Licensure/Certifications: Current Florida EMT or Paramedic license; BLS from the American Heart Association
• Experience: Less than 1 year of practical clinical experience; preferred 1+ years in healthcare

Necessary Skills

• Knowledge of patient care, medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and disease processes
• Ability to recognize emergencies and maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in reading and writing English
• Skills in EKG rhythm recognition, ECG performance, IV insertion, urinary catheter, gastric tube, phlebotomy, basic wound care, splinting, AED operation, chest compressions, eye irrigation
