Job summary

Skysong Innovations, ASU’s exclusive technology transfer and IP management company, offers a Fellows Program for graduate students and Post-Docs. The role emphasizes evaluating commercial potential of ASU technologies, preparing marketing materials, and coordinating licensing discussions with PIs and external counsel.

You will work with SI’s business development team, learn patent workflows, and participate in training on US patent law and university technology licensing.

Qualifications

• Graduate student at ASU with ability to work a minimum of 5 hours per week.
• Ability to assess technical, commercial, and IP aspects of ASU technologies.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in paid internship focusing on tech, IP, and commercialization strategies.
• Review invention disclosures for IP protection and follow up with PIs.
• Assist in marketing and licensing ASU technologies with the business development team.
• Coordinate with external patent counsel on ASU-owned IP filings.
• Engage with faculty and labs to promote IP and commercialization activities.
