Job summary

ALSAC is seeking a senior in-house attorney to provide strategic legal counsel on technology transactions, including cloud, SaaS, data privacy, and information security matters. You will draft, negotiate and revise master services and data agreements while supporting fundraising and compliance initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Juris Doctorate, TN bar license, and 5–7 years of experience in a complex legal environment within a large nonprofit. This role is full-time and on-site in Memphis.

Qualifications

• Experience handling highly technical legal matters independently.
• Ability to interpret regulations and contractual provisions for a large nonprofit.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on technology transactions and related agreements.
• Draft and revise master services, terms of services, NDAs and data privacy provisions.
• Advise on information security standards, cloud/SaaS and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues.
• Stay current on fundraising, compliance, gifting regulations and licensing issues.
