Job summary

Orrick Herrington & Suttcliffe seeks a qualified associate with two to four years of IP and technology transactions experience to join our Technology Transactions team in the United States. You will draft, negotiate, and advise on critical collaboration and licensing agreements supporting life sciences and tech clients.

The role emphasizes product strategy guidance, cross-functional collaboration, and involvement in M&A, venture capital, and corporate partnerships.

Qualifications

Must have at least two years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions.
Strong interest in technology transactions for M&A and VC clients.
Excellent research, analytical, drafting and communication skills.
Commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Admission to the state bar in the location of practice.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements.
Work with technology companies on product strategy, development, and market positioning.
Advise on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, licensing, and product development.
Assist in IP/technology aspects of complex M&A, public offerings, and VC financings.
Conduct research on AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, and other technologies.
