Job summary

The University of Utah's UIT division seeks a Manager, Technical Product Training Management to lead technology training, consultation, and knowledge management for Digital Learning Technologies. You will oversee training design, delivery, and evaluation to help faculty, staff, and other customers adopt Canvas, learning-tool integrations, multimedia technologies, and AI tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of related work experience, or master’s with 4 years.
• Experience leading technology training or professional development programs.
• Experience supervising staff and managing technology-support operations.
• Knowledge of Canvas, learning-tool integrations, accessibility tools, and AI in education.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology-training initiatives for faculty, staff, employees, and other customers.
• Provide direction for design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs.
• Oversee workshops, webinars, demonstrations, and self-service learning opportunities covering Canvas and related tools.
• Develop targeted programs for responsible AI use in teaching, learning, content creation, and productivity workflows.
• Maintain training schedules and coordinate changes related to supported technology products.
• Stay current on training methodologies, ed tech, AI developments, and product trends.
