Job summary

Sun Chemical seeks an Ink Inplant TechTrainee to support color matching and small-batch blending at customer sites, under minimal supervision. You will contribute to ink production and quality control while maintaining accurate records and following safety procedures at the work site.

Responsibilities include producing inks, QC checks, and housekeeping with the ability to lift up to 50 lb and maneuver 500 lb drums as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer-facing role with strong interpersonal skill.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Ink Inplant TechTrainee

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: With support moving towards minimal supervision, provide color matching and small batch blending support on-site at the customer location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet or exceed the customer’s specifications.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• With support, identifies rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following standard procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal skill.
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Able to stand for long periods of time
