Job summary

Mistral is expanding its US Talent Acquisition team to build out world-class research and engineering groups. You will own end-to-end technical recruitment across Research Science and Research Engineering, partnering with leaders to shape hiring strategy and candidate outreach.

We seek a recruiter with 6+ years of experience in startup or high-growth environments, deep US market knowledge, and a proven ability to hire top AI researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of recruiting experience, including startup/high-growth experience in US tech
• Experience hiring across Research Science and Research Engineering
• Deep network in US research/engineering talent markets, with AI/ML credibility
• Track record in competitive, candidate-scarce markets with multiple offers
• Experience working across multiple US markets, including relocation/visa hiring

Responsibilities

• Partner deeply with technical leaders to understand needs, define role specs, and identify talent
• Own full-cycle recruitment across Research Science and Research Engineering, with flexibility to support other technical roles
• Advise hiring managers on market mapping, leveling, and comp positioning for US talent
• Translate technical role nuances into compelling outreach to candidates
• Source passive and active candidates across US research and engineering pools (PhD students, postdocs, researchers, engineers)
• Driv e efficient pipelines and close candidates in a competitive market, while maintaining candidate experience
