Job summary

The TGW Logistics IT team in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide Tier 1 technical support to employees, assist onboarding and account management, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. You will work closely with the IT Manager, gain exposure to enterprise technologies, and help maintain a secure and productive technology environment.

An associate degree or equivalent IT experience is required.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent IT work experience.
1–3 years in a technical support or help desk role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users in person, via voice and video calls, and through written communication.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral device issues.
Install, configure, maintain, and repair desktop computers, laptops, and related equipment.
Create, modify, and disable user accounts while ensuring appropriate access permissions.
Support Microsoft Windows desktop environments and standard business applications.
Assist with new employee onboarding, including workstation setup and technology orientation.
