Job summary
Danfoss is offering a Technical Support Specialist Internship for Summer 2027 in Loves Park, IL, on-site. The NAM DLS Intern will develop self-service tools, collaborate with support and repair teams, and help enhance control systems for the North American facility.
Ideal candidates are pursuing Engineering (electrical preferred) with knowledge of electrical test equipment and schematics, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical preferred), Electronics, or related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and control schematics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proactive learner and team player.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test customer self-service tools to improve support experience and issue resolution speed.
- Partner with technical support and repair teams to translate insights into practical troubleshooting solutions.
- Support development and enhancement of control systems for North American repair facility.
- Gain hands-on experience with variable frequency drives, commissioning software, electrical systems, and control technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve troubleshooting processes and technical documentation.
