Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Director of Strategy & Operations to lead transformation and operating priorities for the Tech organization, managing a team of ~13-15 and driving culture, RTO, change management, and executive support.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in strategy or operations, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to turn data into strategic decisions. Hybrid work with on-site 2-3 days weekly in Palo Alto, CA or Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in product, project, change management, strategy, or operations roles.
• At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams and managing complex initiatives.
• At least 3 years of experience in the P&C Insurance Industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously improve Tech's operating rhythms and high-performance culture to accelerate delivery against customer and business objectives.
• Lead multiple teams responsible for cultural transformation, change management, talent resource management, and operational support.
• Set the strategy and drive execution for the Tech RTO program, including operational readiness and change coordination.
• Oversee the centralized EA support function for Application Engineering/Product, Design, AI, Strategy, Analytics, and Operations.
• Partner with Business, HR and Recruiting, Finance, Communications, Risk and Compliance, Real Estate, and other groups to improve Tech delivery speed and efficiency.
• Establish governance and decision-making mechanisms for Tech-wide initiatives and escalate risks as needed.
