Job summary

The World Bank Group in Sofia, Bulgaria seeks a Procurement Specialist (Category Manager) focused on Technology Sourcing. You will lead sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and advise clients across the Bank Group on procurement best practices to ensure value for money and compliance with international standards.

Requires a Master’s degree and 5+ years in category management, strong negotiation skills, and experience in technology procurement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Management, Finance Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Applied Economics, or a related field (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
• Proven experience in category management and sourcing complex procurements, including technology or professional services.
• Knowledge of international procurement practices and public/private sector procedures, with experience in corporate-level service procurement at international organizations.

Responsibilities

• Leads and independently manages category and sourcing initiatives for Corporate Procurement.
• Develops procurement plans with clients, conducts market research, and benchmarks sources of supply.
• Develops evaluation criteria, generates solicitations, manages bidding, reviews specifications, and negotiates contracts.
