WE ARE HIRING FOR A TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT IN SHAKOPEE, MN! The Technical Sales Consultant supports Entrust sales teams by technical presentations, providing sales engineering guidance, and helping customers understand the value, capabilities, and fit of Entrust Central Issuance solutions. This role focuses primarily on financial and government markets in North America and requires the ability to travel across the region to support customer engagements, sales opportunities, trade shows, and speaking events.
The Technical Sales Consultant represents Entrust as a trusted technical advisor, building strong customer and partner relationships through product expertise, professionalism, and a clear understanding of customer needs. This role requires up to 40% travel to support customers, prospects, and sales opportunities across the assigned territory. The Technical Sales Consultant combines technical expertise and sales acumen to qualify opportunities, position Central Issuance solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers and prospects. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and succeed in a fast‑paced environment.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $107,858-$158,191 per year (in the primary posting location). This position is also eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience and actual performance against the assigned sales compensation plan.
