OpenText is seeking a commercial Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on negotiating and drafting technology agreements, including cloud services, software licenses, and professional services contracts, to support North American sales activities.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years in contract negotiations, preferably in tech, with experience in licensing and hosted solutions, and knowledge of GenAI regulations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in contract negotiations, ideally in technology.
• Experience in a legal department or law firm handling commercial matters.
• Expertise in software licensing and hosted/cloud-based product agreements.
• Knowledge of GenAI systems and regulations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate and draft technology agreements (cloud, software licenses, professional services).
• Advise North American sales teams on commercial transactions.
• Evaluate risks for new product offerings and partnerships.
• Support the company's AI-first initiatives from a legal perspective.
